In the promo for the MSNBC coverage, I see they are advertising that Savannah Guthrie is reporting from Wasilla, AK.

I think it will be GREAT for America to see right there on the TV a lot of footage from that town which makes up 16 years of her 20 year resume'.

Wouldn't dream of it. However, someone would be a fool not to recognize that it's a long way from pushing papers in Mayberry, to strategizing with world leaders in Washington.

Sometimes an appropriate "visual" makes that a tad more obvious.

By the way...the most pathetic example of someone owned.gif and full of crap is Mika Brezinski! Oh damn...she has filled her cup with the Palin storyline koolaid.gif and was just cheerleading Palin on MSNBC as preparing to "hit it out of the park tonight!" She goes on to say that women will buy this story and make it their own and rally behind Palin because she is compelling and a great story..Her panties are in a tight bunch because the blogs have called her on her Obama bashing and swamped her with email. What a tool. She has become Joe Scarborough.... dry.gif

Not a chance.

Just the small minds that constitute a good proportion of many a small town.

And there IS a difference between simple folk and stupid folk.

It's an amazing spectacle to behold. The "bulls**t, to quote Peggy Noonan is so thick and flying so fast that it makes meteors appear slow! It's all about power, ad dollars and big paychecks for pundits. I keep laughing because Olberman keeps raining on their little Palin party! I am going to have to drink all night just to handle the glowing Sarah love that you know will rain down from the corporatists.... drunk3.gif drunk2.gif martini.gif

Good God, what are you, an RNC consultant? I will absolutely ridicule the idea that serving on the part-time city council of a town of 6,000, with meetings every two weeks, is legitimate experience supposedly in large part qualifying one for the Vice Presidency. And seeing the REALITY of what the town is is far and away the best means of reminding people exactly what that job is.

Now you want to contort into ridicule of or contempt for small towns? Bullshit.

Yeah, and criticizing her record of lying is sexism.

And criticizing McCain is showing contempt for POW's.

I live in a town of more than 100,000 on the border of Los Angeles, and the thought that ANY of the current council members might argue their service qualifies them for the White House- the thought any of them would even be considered - is horrifying. And they meet once every week and deal with a budget closer to $1 billion annually.

No wonder the midwest states are all red. They've been paid off in deliveries of used GOP straw men to use for their farms.

I live in small town, around 3,000 spread out over miles and miles, and let me be the first to bash them. The vast majority of them will vote against their interests based on the rw lies they hear. But when it comes to subsidies, they're right there with their hands out. We don't take them because we don't need them, but the others who don't need them take them, and then bitch about the dems and their support for welfare. Small towns are filled with hypocrisy. And I wouldn't want anyone from my town in the WH.

They had to actually go there to read the newspapers and find out about Caribou Barbie because they aren't online. Then when they asked if anyone else had been there (like the FBI) they were told "no". This is just another impulse item from InSane McPain.

Hey now!
I live in a town of 2000 people, sometimes we put down our guns and bibles long enough to have a good ol fashioned barn raising.

Why don't they (Savannah Guthrie) interview Anne Kilkenny? Ms. Kilkenny wrote the letter that Randi read about Mrs Palin. I think it would be a great interview, especially if Keith Olberman did it. The letter is now reprinted with permission in Crosscut Seattle, w w w crosscut dot com

Excuse me hon...get your facts straight. You never heard me praising Mika! Not ever. Hillary has never been milk toast like Mika! Mika is supposed to be a journalist....I just wish she would behave like one. She has been a total disappointment. I thought she was supposed to balance out that loud mouth Joe, but she just behaves like a bobble head doll. After the dis to Matt Damon, I am completely done with her. Last time I checked, even actors have the right to speak out on things like Ms. Sarah Palin! Bloggers have been all over her about the dupe and tool she has been. She totally has been. She would help serve up this country on a silver platter to the dishonorable McCain, and the unqualified Palin just because she is pissed at liberals and progressives that called her out. She and her brother that works for the McCain campaign (her father and another brother support Obama), have lost the respect of millions of people. This country is in deep trouble. If we have four years of corporatists and right wing extremist Christians running this country, we are literally done. Stick a fork in it, done. Just like they failed us on Iraq, Mika and her pals in the media or failing us even more. Hillary Clinton, whatever I might feel about how her campaign was handled, cares a great deal about what happens to women in this country. Any idiot that votes for McCain-Palin is only showing they don't give a damn about this country, and the so called "war on terror" and all of the fear tactics that have accompanied it has been a complete joke! Guess who the butt of the joke has been?
