I am one of Kate Bush's biggest fans! I love her stuff. I'm curious how her further music is going to turn out, though. She's given up wiccan beliefs for being Born Again. Nothing wrong with that. I just hope she keeps makng the meaningful tunes and doesn't slip into the religious rightiousness that other BA musicians have fallen into.

When it comes to a group pointing out religious hipocrytes, Oingo Boingo does a really good job. A lot of people think they push the envelope of taste, but if you listen closely, they're actually pointing out the problems of...

Oh crap. It's 2 AM and I've been drinking. Maybe I shouldn't post this. lol

What I'm trying to say is, even their song 'Little Girls', though starting like a pedophile's theme song, is actually pointing out the mental issues those that have this fetish have.

<sigh> Check it out for yourself. I've also included some of the music showcasing their view of televangelism and such...

Yeah, she's just gorgeous.

My favorite picture of all time is another one from The Sensual World era.

I recently went to go visit my BFF in Los Angeles and we took a little trip to visit some old friends. Somehow, the conversation turned to KB. I had rented this really fancy Volvo with an unbelievable sound system, so on the way back, we turned it up to 11 and put the ipod on Kate Bush.

I'm glad I wasn't driving, or I might have driven off the road.

LOL I've have the same kind of thing happen, though I was driving a friend home from his work and we stumbled upon my tape of Kate's 'Jig of Life'. He was blown away by that. Of course we're talking almost 20 years ago, but I spoke with him recently and he still remembers his own introduction to her (through me).

My own introduction came many years earlier, when my brother had returned from a stint with the R.A.F. back in the 70's. He made me listen to a tape he had from this unknown woman (in the U.S. at the time) and I immediately fell in love with her voice. I didn't even see a picture of her until many years later, but her beauty seemed to fit her lyrics. Hard to explain. In any case, I've been a huge fan of hers since the very beginning...

My fave pic of Kate, with no limitations, is the cover for 'The Dreaming'. I can't seem to get it to stand alone for a post, but I'm sure you know the pic...

"With a kiss, I pass the key" is what it's called, refering to the track on the album called 'Houdini'.

Yeah, it's 80's hair, but she's still hot! lol

Trying to add the 'Kiss' pic...

Yesterday on the Ovation channel, there were three hours of a show called "Sruth Na Maoille", of Gaelic music - each half hour was a different type, like about the sea, being forced out of their land, love songs, work songs. It had Irish and Scottish and American Celtic-music muscicians playing and singing just around their kitchen tables, or on the porch - harps and fiddles, guitars, etc. it was just beautiful. I recorded all of it on the dvr, which I think really annoyed my husband! laugh.gif I want to see if there is a way to transfer it from dvr to a video or cd.

Yeah, that might have been the cover for ' The Secret Hystory of...'

I think it was also one of the inside pics of the special two-page release of 'The Whole Story' (I don't think I have the right phrase here... One of those record covers that opens up so you can see more stuff inside, even though it was a single album.)

This pic is 2 years old, but I think she still has it for being 48 at the time...
