This was surprising

A week ago, most Americans had never heard of Alaska Governor Sarah Palin. Now, following a Vice Presidential acceptance speech viewed live by more than 40 million people, Palin is viewed favorably by 58% of American voters. The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that 37% hold an unfavorable view of the self-described hockey mom.

The figures include 40% with a Very Favorable opinion of Palin and 18% with a Very Unfavorable view (full demographic crosstabs are available for Premium Members). Before her acceptance speech, Palin was viewed favorably by 52%. A week ago, 67% had never heard of her.

Rasmussen. Right.

Who do you suppose is the most popular person in the US? How do you think they'd do as President? What's your point?

I note that your source only includes 4 polls taken after 08/21/2008. Its pretty outdated information and hence meaningless. realclearpolitics.com is updates several times a day. Nice try though

realclearpolitics.com has pretty much the same map with the same result. The only difference is how close the polls have to be be to call a state of toss up. And if you look at the state polls, realclearpolitics.com has Obama ahead in almost all of the "toss up" states.

Nice try though.

Why did you run away from the thread you stared yesterday?

Why are you inflating viewer figures to 40 million, when you know total viewership was a hair over 37 million and out of that folk of voting age was about half of that. Which was less than the number of votes Obama received in the primaries.

You ran because you got caught. So here you are trying to start up a misleading thread.

Am I getting warm?

The latest Rasmussen Reports...

Ok, so it turns out that that's all you had to say. I went to the link you posted, and the ads on the page are about getting "Free Newt" (Getting a daily email from Newt... Oooooooooh!!!) and an ad for John McCain.

I refreshed the page, and it's the same ads. I went to other pages on the site, and it's the same ads. That says a lot about who runs that site, and therefore, how the poll was taken. I don't doubt that they got the numbers that they did, but WHO did they call? What was the question that was asked?

This is NOT surprising.

Because as soon as he starts losing the argument he runs off and starts another talking points thread. If we quit giving him and his threads any acknowledgment, maybe he'll get bored and move on to another message board and bother them.

Please let him get bored so he can move on. Please!

Oh yeah, well my poll says Obama is King of the World! No, the Universe, yeah, that's it, he's king of the universe!

And as long as we're talking polls, John Stewart is the number one choice for Secretary of State!

I mean as long as we are talking worthless, meaningless polls that don't mean anything!
