For the first time I heard CNN strap on some balls and tell everyone that Bush was told about the planned attacks, a month ahead of time and did nothing. Thanks for telling us the news CNN, just 7 years too late. It looks like the news people will start feeling the freedom to talk again.

I watched it, not just to say I heard both sides out, but to know what the folks I am trying to get through to were told

I am more disheartened that the myriad of lies spewed during the convention haven't been more of a topic during the MSM neverending "analysis". If a dem made an even accidental inaccurate statement, they would be all over it for days.

Okay, I'll play. Even though I do not consider myself a "right wing tool" any more than Progressives consider themselves "left wing tools".

On reading the title of this post and seeing Mister Olbermann's response first, I was afraid that someone had gone over the top and had shown the video of the people plunging to their deaths as they lept from the fires in Towers 1 and 2 rather than burn to death. I thought that there must be lines of blood stained body bags ............. I thought that maybe they (the producers of this RNC clip) had maybe shown even worse.

Then I watched the clip for the first time. I missed it when it first aired.

There was a brief shot of a survivor being pulled from the wreckage of the building next to the American embassy in Nairobi (1998 Embassy Bombings). He has blood stained on the front of his bright yellow shirt.

There was an obilgue shot of the second airliner hitting 2 WTC where the fireball was visible.

There was a shot of the collapse of 1 WTC.

There were video outtakes of first responders at the pentagon and a clip of a fire there.

Nothing that I saw in the two minute 50 second introduction clip was untrue or inaccurate.

Mister Olbermann is correct, many people died that day. There are many who actually knew some of those who died. The video is very uncomfortable to watch.

It's meant to be that way.

There are films of what was discovered in Germany after the Second World War. Let me write at this point that the size and the sheer magnitude of the Holocaust IS IN NO WAY comparable to 9/11.

But to this day we have all seen those haunting and terrible black and white images of the loathsome Nazi final solution .

We know and understand that these images of the Holocaust are NOT being shown with any other purpose than a single one.

"Never Again".

The RNC crowd was quite throughout the showing. No chants of U ......... S ............. A .............

If Mister Olbermann felt that an apology was necessary for the roughly three minute reminder of the costs that America and Americans have endured through the past few decades due to terrorist actions, he is free to do so.

The attacks of 9/11 have undeniably shaped America in almost every aspect.
