The Obama campaign has launched this new ad against John McCain, hitting McCain for voting to cut education funding and having an economic plan that would take money away from public schools. "John McCain doesn't understand," the announcer says sternly:

Obama To Give Speech Today, Blasting McCain On Education
Barack Obama is set to deliver a speech today in Dayton, Ohio, going after John McCain on public education and promoting his own charter-school plan. "In the past few weeks, my opponent has taken to talking about the need for change and reform in Washington, where he has been part of the scene for about three decades," Obama will say, according to the prepared remarks. "And in those three decades, he has not done one thing to truly improve the quality of public education in our country. Not one real proposal or law or initiative. Nothing."

By the time we're done PALIN and McCain will be organizing themselves on the streets of Washington, sweeping up Obama and Biden's confetti!!! (this is a broom, Sarah - here's the trashcan John, let Sarah put your trash into the trashcan . . . there, there . . . all will be better now)

Well, from the start, and in terms of political strategy/advertising, I think Obama's camp selecting the term "Community Organizer" was a poor choice. It may well describe his activities, but it's too vague of a label that allows virtually any person coming across it to apply their own interpretation premised upon their own experiences, biases and so forth. And as long as that's the case, it permits the opponents to define it for a lot of people.

Not to nit pick (that would be taking b's job), but sloganizing requires proper spelling. The guy's name was Pontius Pilate.

That's what they say on the tv, but it doesn't fly in real terms. Some even say the term just entails the urban landscape - as they parrot on the tv. Still doesn't fly.
This organizing in the community is a new phenomeon and will not be seen on the tv ---- YET.
