Apparently they think it went over so well they are going to use it as her stump speech.

They all do they same thing, variations on a theme so to speak. Some are just better at not making it seem like the same speech.

That is one of the reasons the media types seem so jaded at times.

But I have NEVER seen this much EXACT repetition, with out anything new. Not a quip, joke, anecdote...nada. It's EXACTLY the same. There IS no variation. ZIP. Rien.

I can only attribute it to either hubris or incompetence.

I'm gonna go with a mix of both.

Repetition is probably the best thing for them right now as for damage control.

I think they (McCain) picked Palin to woo HRC voters.

They found out that wasn't working, but discovered that there was an appeal to fundies that they hadn't thought they could tap without Huckabee.

I think they also found out that there was also that redneck appeal - some would like hard-driving, moose-killing, trash-talking, flag-waving, God-fearing woman.

Then they discovered that change sells and they recast themselves as a pair of mavericks.

The best thing they can do now is "be vewwy, vewwy quiet" because the American electorate will continue learning for 60 days. This transitory appeal they have won't last as Americans deconstruct this. Americans know that Republicans for change is an oxymoron, as is Republicans care. McCain's / Palin's values are what they've always been, new Republican: selfish, corporatist, parochial, elitist, divisive and well, just plain stupid.

The only change that works for them now is to out-Bush Bush. Full-on Dominist, unilateralist, corporatist, crusades for God and country. Oh ya, that's fascism.

. . . . Well, not to mention the fact, this is the only speech she has memorized.

They need to work it.

So, is she taking any questions yet? I KNOW I heard McCain say last night that his would be one of the most transparent and accessible administrations in history. Any reason they can't start now?
