I think since Mat-Su hospital has no birth's for the day little trig was born I think she's heading back to Alaska to complete the adoption process. Just my opinion as to why she's heading back to Alaska.

Maybe she has to "make her bones". If she can't make this troopergate issue go away before the election it will be time to admit she hasn't got what it takes to be MyCane's nursemaid through 4 years they aren't getting anyway.
