Just got the diagnosis today, surgeon says he wants me to try 2 months of intense, daily physical therapy before he will consider surgery...and assures me it is gonna hurt like hell...

In fact, if that doesnt work he will do a "manipulation" before surgery, basically numb you and then break your arm? Something like that...fun ohmy.gif

I guess surgery is last resort due to potential nerve damage during surgery, asked him if I would still hurt if worst case scenario he destroyed the nerve, he said no, made me almost wish, nevermind.

Tip: during this process I learned never to keep your arms/hands over your head for any extended periods of time if you can avoid it, when you get older, you will pay for it...

My problem came primarily from a fall, taking off my pants laugh.gif laugh.gif i know...dumb ass

So it's more than a rotator problem?

that diagnosis came pre mri, surgeon says not a rotator problem in that most of the pain is the frozen shoulder, whatever the hell that is

Just looked it up, sounds painful. And therapists are sadistic fuckers.

Strangely, when I had my MRI the radiologist didn't see anything. My surgeon thought something was wrong and did an exploratory and found all kinds of shit wrong.

Great guy. did it arthroscopically. Because I had a detached bicep I have never regained full strength. They say some do some don't. Rotator's fine, Labrum's fine.

The bicep would have been worse except that I had a ganglion cyst that kept i from rolling up. I didn't regain the strength because they(worker's comp) made me wait 4 months b4 they approved the procedure.
