Half of L.A.'s homeless are women and children, half the population of Iraq is under the age of 15, 85% of those who die from completely preventable diseases are children and infants or the elderly.
We are who we protect, but we are also who we neglect.
I often wonder, is it worse to aggressively kill someone in a short period of time as the Nazis did, or to ignore someone to death over years, and years, and years as we've done to the Third World and even many in our own back yard, and then pretend we're moral.
Perhaps they are equally bad, but one is more hypocritical than the other.

Well that's nice, but the main thing I am is impatient. I'm tired of waiting for humanity to get it's shit together and start behaving like a species that's actually WORTHY of it's survival and place in the universe. I'm tired of cruelty. I'm tired of neglect. And most of all, I'm tired of seeing easily-solvable problems go unsolved due to either lack of political will, or outright greed.
