I never had much of a care for Pamela Anderson until I saw her in the movie "Borat". She was such a trooper to make fun of herself and her own image, and that says a lot about a person. Glad to see she is funny and politically smart too.

The world is spinning out of control when someone exclaims that Pamela Anderson is politically smart. "I hate her, she can suck it." is not exactly an astute political observation. Wish the reporter had followed up with, "Why?" I'm sure the reply would have been equally as brilliant as Ms. Anderson's first comments.

actually she's done a lot with PETA, and a lot for animal rights. Also she's working with the American Liver Foundation, and has more intelligence than one would think.
she's made one hell of a career for herself for close to twenty years.
plus as one of the posters above stated, she has a great sense of humor as look at the film "Borat".

Variety had this article on "Hollywood" against Pailn. I don't know if non-subscribers can see it, so here it is. It's pretty short.

There is something about Sarah that has Hollywood seething.

Stars flocked to the Democratic National Convention, but few said anything remotely inflammatory, or even critical, about John McCain.

But his selection of Sarah Palin as running mate seems to have shoved restraint to the side.

Matt Damon last week labeled the thought of Palin as president a "terrifying possibility," telling the Associated Press, "It's like a really bad Disney movie. The hockey mom...from Alaska and she's the president and it's like she's facing down Vladimir Putin and using the folksy stuff she learned at the hockey rink and it's absurd."

With McCain chiding Obama as a "celebrity," many in Hollywood feared that speaking out could do more harm than good. After Palin's selection -- and as she landed the cover of People and tabloid attention once reserved for Britney Spears -- those concerns apparently are not so great.

Stars are getting plenty of opportunity to comment. At the press junket for "The Women," journos quite naturally ask about Palin, and the leading stars respond. Annette Bening said at a news conference, "The idea that people, who voted for Hillary, who tend to be Democrats, would change and vote for McCain because of Sarah Palin seems to me bizarre."

Last week, Gina Gershon played a bikini-clad, shotgun toting Palin in a Funnyordie.com video. Other comments, from the likes of Roseanne and Whoopi Goldberg, have been more pointed.

On the Website Wowowow, Goldberg challenged the double standard in Palin's daughter's pregnancy.

She wrote, "I find it interesting that if this girl was Chelsea Clinton or black she probably wouldn't have been treated the same way. When a black teenager gets pregnant she's a welfare mother. When this teenager, when this nice white-lady-girl-teenager gets pregnant, it's an Evangelical Christian choice."

It didn't include Jamie Lee Curtis's article at Huffington Post or Lynda Carter's profanity-ridden rejection of her being compared to Wonder Woman.

Screw your bible Lynda, but you still rock all the gay girl's planets.

As an example of their goofiness, Whoopie "Race Card" Goldberg was quoted in the Variety article: ".... When a black teenager gets pregnant she's a welfare mother. When this teenager, when this nice white-lady-girl-teenager gets pregnant, it's an Evangelical Christian choice."

Nice sound bite Whoopie, but totally bogus and clearly racist. A white teenager who gets pregnant, doesn't marry the father and lives on public assistance is also considered a welfare mother. A black teenager who gets pregnant, marries the father and raises her family is not considered a welfare mother. Unfortunately, the perception and the reality is that a higher proportion of black teen males don't stick around and marry the girl so I guess Whoopie's just into stereotyping...or (gasp) profiling?

Until I discovered RRMB, I was totally unaware of the depth of pure hatred and vile that liberals spewed while disguising themselves as the party of peace and love and unificiation. Y'all are a scary bunch.

We didn't see the rampaging vandalism and destruction at the DNC that we did at the RNC. Who's the party of hate?

No doubt she has issues.

Conservatism is garbage.

For one whose candidate is the epitome of Harvard elitism, backed by self-appointed elitist Hollywood goofballs and supported by a snobbishly elite mainstream press (Gibson, Couric, et al, who couldn't believe that McCain had the audacity to pick a VP without gettng THEIR approval first), you should recognize that elitism is not exclusively conservative.

In fact, in my short time here, I've noticed that the traits you rail against the most are the ones you most exhibit.

Harassing? Hardly. And yes, it's enjoyable to engage in discussions with people of differing views. If you didn't find it fun here, would you keep coming back? I know that y'all prefer to open these "discussion" boards only to those who march in lockstep and are limited to only saying, "oh, good one!" whenever a new insult of JM or SP is posted, but that's okay. Once in a while we should hear from the other side, no matter how sick, or we run the risk of possibly becoming narrow minded. Of course, that wouldn't include anyone here, I'm just saying in general.

Conservative boards kick liberals off after 2 posts or less.

But then, conservatives are eliminationists anyway, so what can we expect.
