After bankrupting millions, the CEO's of Fannie and Freddie were gonna try and get out the backdoor with bonuses of $24 million dollars.

Congress said, "Not so fast...."

Be sure to thank your Democratic Congressman and Senators, because that sure as fuck wouldn't have passed under a Republican Congress.

The golden parachute payments drew criticism from Democrats, including presidential contender Barack Obama, who said such a windfall was unacceptable and the government's failure to block the packages violated the public's trust.
Well that's one less thing my child or her children do not have to pay for.

These are some of the things that are so audacious you just throw up your hands and wonder wtf.

It's just sick and immoral. So, this is a bit of good news. Saw a brief interview flashed on the tv this morning of a woman, suddenly finding herself just left with her car to sleep in. She was trying to decide which street was safest to park her car on.

The agency declined to specify what the former executives would lose or what parts of their contracts were in play, the newspaper said.

Um, big goose egg for ya. Nada. Nothing.

A lady on the span (Jennifer Brunner, Ohio Sec. of St. discussing voting rights) was saying this morning that not everyone is born at the same station in life, so the ones who have more troubles have more at stake because that person will benefit most from voting (more so than the gazillionaire). It's the one day in America when everyone is equal.

And these people will put this on their resumes and get jobs as CEO's at some other company.

...

Here's a business opportunity for some enterprising soul...

Go around buying up larger gas guzzlers for use as shelter. Find a safe place to park them with common toilets, and soup line, like a drive-in movie. Run a simple heating vent from car to car, daisy chained. Get a grant to put the people to work, doing just about anything. Hold the cars for a while, then sell them as scrap. Scrap metal is skyrocketing, up to around $400 a ton around here, so a 2 ton car would be worth $800.

No jobs, housing out of sight ... it's just a matter of time.

Well golly...a couple of half assed CEO's may get what they deserved for once. You can put lip stick on a half assed CEO but in the end it's still a half assed CEO.

Wow, quite an idea there, Curry - drive-in movies style, yea!.

Hum, maybe Obama was really thinking ahead when he decided he would not do away with the faith-based programs - it appears at the rate we are sliding, we will need every organization we can muster.

About putting people to work? That's when I hope the people will form their own green companies.

I already have. To bad we can't recall a few more who slipped out the back door and probably out of the country, with their millions.
