and, from the Washington Post:

Barack Obama is not only popular among Democrats, he's also an appealing figure to many Republicans. Former GOP House member Joe Scarborough, now a host on MSNBC, reports that after every important Obama speech, he is inundated with e-mails praising the speech -- with most of them coming from Republicans. William Bennett, an influential conservative intellectual, has said favorable things about Obama. So have Rich Lowry of National Review and Peggy Noonan. And so have I.

the truth is simply intelligent and honest republicans know that obama is better than mccain...some admit it, most dont...but the rank and file like some repubs on this board, dont show the ability to think outside the box, or they would admit what a horror mccain and palin are...

too bad

I think of it as something like branding. You're given a nice little message about yourself in a company logo(I can't believe I'm saying this as a graphic design student) and you parade that logo around as sort of a status symbol.

When you wear Republican branding, it allows someone to identify themselves with fellow Republicans. That way someone has strength through a small popularity.

If that even makes sense.

Marketing is the art of making people crave stuff they don't even want, much less need.

The Republican Party is the party of corporations, and big time marketing.

Nuff said.

I consider those Republicans who don't stand up against McCain's theater of the abusrd, traitors. Like that John Fund on Bill Maher-- throwing us under the bus for power.

There's far more of these ReBamacans than most people know and the GOP will ever admit.

Yeah and you can see right through every lie they are telling. None of them are comfortable about this ticket at all. The ones supporting it openly care nothing about this country. I would spit on them if I could.
