On Hardball today, Chris Matthews had Senator Schumer on to discuss the economy. He invited a representative from the McCain camp, or the RNC, to be on the show also.

They refused, saying they had no one available.

Yeah, right.

Probably, what they are doing is sitting back, watching and listening, and preparing their "talking points" response to all that has happened today regarding our economy, and McCain's own comment saying that our economy is still fundamentally good. Yeah, right.

He was not lying. The GOP has not had anyone available to viably run the economy or intelligently discuss it for at least 4 decades....
plodder
Oh someone discussed it.......... laugh.gif

Today, in the wake of the bankruptcy of Lehman and the forced sale of Merrill Lynch, here's what John McCain had to say.

Everythings OK..........

Well, sure. If you ignore today's Wall Street meltdown, the $7.7 trillion in national debt, the $10 or so billion we're spending in Iraq every month, and the recent taxpayer-funded bailout of Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae, things are going great.

Once again, John McCain just doesn't get it. But the Obama campaign does:

Today of all days, John McCain's stubborn insistence that the 'fundamentals of the economy are strong' shows that he is disturbingly out of touch with what's going in the lives of ordinary Americans. Even as his own ads try to convince him that the economy is in crisis, apparently his 26 years in Washington have left him incapable of understanding that the policies he supports have created an historic economic crisis," said Obama campaign spokesman Bill Burton.

They can't do it. All McCain has is POW and WaR and sabber rattle. That's all he has!!!

This is perfect. Even though the economy of the USA essentially hit the iceberg and is now sinking. But this is Obama's "in" --- to link McCainster directly to Dumbya --- and it will stick. Game over. Ha ha, Rusho and Hannito. Go get your paychecks from China --- move there, ya stinkin fasicsts.

A new Republican Great Depression is upon us.

If the Democrats manage to prevail in November they must Re-Regulate everything that was De-Regulated in the seventies and eighties.
At this point it should be plain to see what the GOP's fiscal policies have wrought.

X-Ray-Spex
The Re-Regulation should start with the airline industry.
