I suspect that the ongoing economic meltdown just might be enough to wake Murkins out of their stupor and even force MSM to cut back on the time alloted to the current OJ trial. It might even eliminate last week's biggest campaign issue; namely: whether or not Obama dissed Palin inappropriately by referencing "liptick on a pig" such that McCain thought for sure Obama was referring to Palin.

Because Obama has been saying all along that there are too many important issues at stake to be sidetracked by trivia, he has an inherent and potentially outcome determining advantage here. Now, it might be up to us to focus in on the extent of Obama's command of the issures versus McCain's focus on trivia.
